Due to the impact of COVID-19 and in order to align with the government's policy, many companies have decided to stop their employees from taking business trips as well as to increase the level of remote work.
However, it’s really difficult for the manufacturing industry to solve the problems faced by the company only by means of remote work.
The capacity of many factories has been reduced or even shut down since last February and many factory workers have been locked down at home as a part of the isolation policy decreed by each country.
As opposed to this unfortunate situation that we are experiencing, we are also witnessing the rapid growth of digitalization. Take the video conferencing platform Zoom as an example, which volume of users has quickly escalated worldwide in 2020 since the lockdown began.
Digitalization and automation have indeed brought countless solutions and advantages thus enabling fewer people to manage factories of the same scale.
Furthermore, the stable quality and the accuracy of the real time production data can reduce the difficulties when managing these factories.
